davidson elopement - august 22nd 2016

"August 22, 2009, seven years ago Walker and I met. For those who know us know it hasn’t always been sunshine and daisies, but truthfully who’s relationship is? In the seven years of seeing each other, there has always been love, forgiveness, growth, patience, and fun. God blessed me with the man of my dreams, and on August 22, 2016, on a Monday, we got married.

We decided to do an elopement style wedding and I couldn’t be more enthused by how perfect our day was. We started it off with a lifestyle photo session of us being us. The whole day was so laid back, intimate, stress-free and fun! Walker and I also wrote each other notes to exchange later that night. After getting ready and heading to the waterfall, we had to go back to the Airbnb twice because first, we forgot the marriage license, and then we forgot the bouquet. Minus those little hiccups of my forgetfulness, the day was beyond perfect.

We got married at Latourell Falls outside of Portland, Oregon. Shortly after we were baptized together by the best practicing pastor in Tulsa, Matt Blair – Solace Church in the Columbia River Gorge. It was FREEZING yet so worth it. We walked into our marriage cleansed together and committed to not only one another but to Jesus as well. The closeness to one another and God we both felt was by far the best feeling we have ever endured.

We later went back to the Airbnb house, cut cake, exchanged notes and had our first dance to “Better Together,” by Jack Johnson, under twinkle lights. The day couldn’t have been more magical. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for us.

Our honeymoon WAS CRUSING DOWN THE 101 HIGHWAY - AND IT WAS AMAZINGGGG.

P.S. This was the hardest secret ever to keep.

Another thing, if you’re thinking about eloping… DO IT. But my only request is you take me with you. A wedding is supposed to be about you and your fiancé. Like the wise Gary Stokes, aka my grandpa said, “It’s not the wedding that makes the marriage anyways."

We wanna thank Liz Rudman Photography and United Media Collective for helping make our day so extremely special – celebrating our wedding with Matt Blair in Portland, Oregon.

You've seen my day and my vision for my wedding... NOW, I want to chat with you about yours. Whether you are eloping, doing a traditional wedding, intimate, or whatever the case may be. I want to help make your day one to remember. As a photographer my day is to be your dress bustler, your voluntary matron of honor, gofer, photographer, whatever it might be I want to be that for you. I want to help make your day so special that you look back on your day the way I do and think, it was nothing short of amazing. From asking for advise, to details, and the timeline of your day, I want to help make your day the most special one yet. With all that being said, lets chat!
