The Smith Colorado Wedding - Maroon Bells
Let me start by saying while editing this I shed many happy tears. Kayla + Josh's love for one another is one for the book. This wedding was absolutely beautiful and so intimate. If I could book nothing but intimate weddings + elopements I would do that in a heartbeat. Josie England (Josie England Photography) is a fellow photographer friend of mine, she came along and shot the video for the wedding. *Dying to see what she comes up with.* We had so much fun getting to hang out with Kayla + Josh, and chatted about how we wish that all weddings could be as sweet and laid back as Josh + Kayla's. It allows us as photographers to get creative with our work without feeling the pressure of the hustle and bustle. The night before the wedding we did their engagement pictures and scouted out the area for the ceremony. Everything about the Maroon Bells outside of Aspen is absolutely beautiful! It is definitely a place I want to visit again.
When Kayla came to me about doing an intimate destination wedding my heart exploded. I was beyond excited. My husband and I eloped and I have now documented two small intimate weddings and needless to say I have found something that sets my soul on fire. I ADORE the small intimate weddings and the love and laid back vibes. The whole day was just so laid back and so about Kayla + Josh. We had a timeline of how the day was suppose to play out and we followed it for the most part but there wasn't any pressure of not being able to change it.
Kayla + Josh thank you so much for allowing Josie + I to document your day. Kayla I have gotten to know you personally over the course of planning this wedding and I am thankful for you and the opportunity you presented me with. You both looked so stunning together and your love for one another was so easy to see. Kayla you are going to make an amazing stepmom, those kiddos adore you so much.
